Group Blog - Opening Sequence

Greetings! Before proceeding with the opening sequence, I need to determine if I will work individually or with a group. That is what I will be discussing in this group blog.

You've worked individually. How did you pull it all off by yourself?

Well, I did manage to work on the projects by myself. As noted in the group blog for Abigail, I wanted to play it safe with choosing groupmates, but they had a group of their own by the time I asked. So, I had no choice but to work on the project individually.

I believe that there could have been a great difference in production had I worked in a group. I felt that I could not carry so many responsibilities from the start, and I work better when I work with multiple people on a project of large scale. So, I had to downscale the project so that at least it seemed realistic to work with, as during the planning of the music video, several epic ideas rushed through my head. But they were impossible to execute because I was not working with anyone else. Abigail still turned out excellent at the end! So even though there were some tensions before developing the story, it was still fun to produce the entire music video from start to finish. Everyone liked it at the end.

So what's your decision?

I have finally met someone in my class who will be able to work on this project with me! The later need for a Health and Safety blog also eased a ton of questioning about deciding on members for the group. I believe that with the last project, I was a bit too harsh in deciding who to work with. Other groupmates were asked, however, they had already selected groups at the time we had asked. So, I am primarily working with one other person on this project.

Of course, while we build our storyline, we will look for potential actors for the opening segment. We do not have in mind anyone specific yet, but those details will be reflected in a future blog post. We may at any time also ask others to help with on-set production work, but that is a discussion for another day.

That is all for now. We are now thinking about ideas for the music video. Those ideas will be revealed and decided on the next blog.
