Intro Blog - Opening Sequence
Greetings! Today is the day when an entirely new project begins. The last two productions have certainly been a whole experience for me. Both films have received outstanding positive feedback, especially the Abigail music video. Several classmates and school staff liked Abigail the fairy in the music video and how she replanted flowers in the park with her wand magic.
If you're new to this blog, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Juan Rosero. I am an up-and-coming video creator who creates various types of projects that pique the interest of different audiences. Here on this blog, you'll find my final projects, as well as the entire progress of those projects.
Today, the preliminary stages for planning a two-minute opening sequence of a film will begin. First and foremost, considering that this production will take a tremendous amount of time, I am planning to collaborate with at least one other student to make this opening sequence possible.
The opening sequence is already a broad canvas to consider a wide range of ideas. Of course, I can only select one idea. Those ideas will be described and listed in the not-so-distant idea-pitching blog.
So far, the editing for all of my projects has evolved tremendously. Abigail, by far, had more editing applied than 16 3/4. 16 3/4 was just a simple slideshow. The only piece of editing that was appealing in 16 3/4, other than some captions, was a keyframe animation of the line separating the numerator and denominator of the 3/4 fraction on the logo displayed at the end of the film. In comparison, Abigail used five After Effects compositions, some diegetic sound effects, LUTs, and masks.
I believe that the success of Abigail would propel the progress of this opening sequence. I will review the final product before I export it to find deficiencies identified with past projects.
I look forward to working on the final task soon!
